Michael Williams, CPA

Michael is a hands on accounting, finance, treasury and operational executive with Big 5 public and private accounting and entrepreneurial experience.  He graduated Cum Laude with a degree in accounting and finance from the University of Montevallo in 1999.  He earned his CPA license while working at Arthur Andersen.  

In 2002, he moved to Greensboro, North Carolina to work in internal audit for one of the world's largest apparel manufacturer.  After 2-years of the corporate life, he decided to open his own business and grew to over 18 locations with 160 employees across the southeast .

He sold his business after close to 10 years and worked with other small to medium businesses on his own before joining a large national small business consulting firm where he traveled across the country.  He worked closely with small growing companies, helping them bring order to their accounting and finance departments.

His wife grew tired of all the travel and felt like a single mom, so he started his own fractional CFO and accounting firm, SME Accounting.

Kelli is the Tax Manager at SME Accounting LLC. She is a CPA, Baylor University alum with Big 4 public accounting background, and has over 20 years of experience in tax and accounting. She is a strong advocate for children in foster care and serves on the board of the Hill Country Women’s Alliance. In her free time, she likes to go hiking with her husband and two pups.

Mike is a CPA and Senior Tax Preparer/Reviewer at SME Accounting, LLC with over 30 years of experience in individual and small business tax preparation. He enjoys chatting with clients as he has known most of them for many years. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking and spending time with his wife and kids.

  Jan Jamison is our Senior Tax Preparer at SME Accounting, LLC, bringing more than 50 years of hands-on experience in individual and small-business tax preparation. Jan is known for her accuracy, efficiency, and commitment to helping clients feel confident in their filings. However, her favorite job is being a grandmother and great grandmother as she gets to help with grandkids and pets of her three children.

Courtney is a Staff Accountant and Payroll Specialist at SME Accounting, LLC. Courtney handles day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll processing, and much of the core accounting work that keeps our clients running smoothly. She is a graduate of the University of Montevallo. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending time with her dog, Leroy.

Pam is a Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist at SME Accounting, LLC and she keeps our office in order. She runs the front desk, coordinates with clients, books meetings and helps keep us stay organized amidst keeping up with her bookkeeping and payroll work. Her smile brings joy and light to the office!

Michelle is a Staff Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer/Reviewer with SME Accounting, LLC. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting. Her attention to detail and accuracy is what makes her such a valued asset at SME. Michelle enjoys reading and spending time with her family. 

Patty is a Staff Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist with SME Accounting LLC. She enjoys helping businesses and freelancers organize their finances and track their expenses. When she’s not balancing the books, you will find her in her garden or drinking too much coffee.
